Mr. and Miss Tshwane Regions will host its ever anticipated beauty social media contest in the coming months.
The contestants will put their best foot forward to compete for a great prize once they’ve won the competition.
By utilising social media, young people will build self-confidence and tackle problems in everyday life.
Mr. Asan Mahlangu, founder of Mr. and Miss Tshwane Regions, says pageantry is not just about wearing heels and suits. People are appreciated and accepted regardless of their body type by communities.
“We are all built differently, we should all embrace our flaws because that’s what makes us unique. We should love ourselves, because the modeling industry has finally started including diverse body types”, said Mahlangu.
The contest will take place in October. It is yet to be decided between Cullinan and Pretoria’s Central Business District (CBD). Winners’ grand prizes are not disclosed. Previously, winners received flat-screen televisions and trophies. Mr. and Miss Tshwane Regions won trips to represent Africa.
