African National Congress leaders have elected the zonal chairperson. To ensure better service delivery to residents, Donald Khutso Tsela has been elected MAWIGA (Mabopane, Winterveld, Ga-Rankuwa) Zone Chair.”
Many ANC officials attended the election conference at the Mabopane Indoor Centre. Members elected a zonal chair after the previous committee term ended.
With a wealth of experience in the ANC and community outreach, Tsela is no stranger to the organisation. Community Activist, Former ANCYL Member of Ward 12, Businessman, SANCO Chairperson and Zonal MAWIGA SANCO Chairperson.
Tsela has publicly declared his commitment to serving the community and improving as a public representative. He pledged to be responsive, inclusive and accountable.
According to Tsela, the conference should have taken place 3 months ago. The conference was postponed several times due to ANC in the Region having many programmes
“It is with much pleasure that we announce the final conclusion of this conference and that it was conducted smoothly by Regional Secretary George Matjila without any interference.”
“We want to ensure service delivery to the community since the current government coalition, DA, cannot meet community needs,” said Tsela.
Tsela further said that he was chosen by his comrades as they believed in his leadership. Tsela said the community is happy he has been elected.
Several people congratulated him personally and on social media. “ I am selfless and willing to work for the ANC and for the people”, said Tsela.
The Regional Secretary, George Matjila said that he is ready to see how far Tsela is prepared to go in strengthening and uniting the organisation going forward. As a result, he expressed his desire for Tsela to lead the ANC in the 2024 elections in MAWIGA Zone.
