PBH Continues Healthcare Mission with New Mental Health Facility.
Phelang Bonolo Healthcare Group (PBH) is delighted to announce the groundbreaking of its newest mental health wellness private hospital in Montana, Pretoria. This milestone marks another step in PBH’s mission to deliver exceptional healthcare and integrated solutions to communities across South Africa.
Founded by Dr. Jacky Rampedi in 2006, PBH has established itself as a leading independent black-owned and managed private hospital group. Dr Rampedi’s vision of accessible, high-quality healthcare has driven the success of Botshilu Private Hospital in Soshanguve and partnerships with Netcare’s Waterfall City Hospital and Pinehaven Private Hospitals respectively.
Montana Wellness Hospital is a strategic initiative aimed at addressing the critical mental health needs within the Northern Tshwane community.
The PBH Group recognises the growing importance of mental health and wellness, and the necessity of providing comprehensive mental health services that are accessible, inclusive, and effective.
Dr. Rampedi founder and CEO of the PBH Group, stated, “The establishment of our mental wellness hospital in Montana is a testament to our unwavering commitment to enhancing mental health care delivery in South Africa.
This facility represents our dedication to integrating preventative and curative care, ensuring that our community has access to the best possible mental health resources. We believe that a focus on mental wellness and preventative care is crucial for building a healthier future for all.”
The new wellness hospital in Montana is designed to offer state-of-the-art medical services and facilities, offering high-quality diagnosis and treatment of all mental health issues.
Scheduled to open by early 2026, the facility will provide a wide range of mental health specialties and support, including psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, etc. “In alignment with global healthcare trends, Montana Wellness Hospital will emphasise preventative mental health care.
By offering comprehensive wellness programs, the facility will focus on early detection and prevention of mental health issues, encouraging patients to adopt healthier mental practices and seek help early.
This approach is designed to reduce the long-term impact of mental illnesses and improve overall mental health outcomes,” Dr. Prudence Molete, one of the psychiatrists of the hospital.
Dr. Rampedi will be joined by government officials, community leaders, and healthcare professionals at the sod-turning event.
“This state-of-the-art wellness hospital will provide much-needed mental health services to a rapidly growing population in Pretoria and its surrounding areas.
By expanding our footprint, we aim to reduce barriers to accessing high-quality mental health care, ensuring that more people can receive timely and effective support for their mental well-being,” concluded Dr Rampedi
