The Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL), led by Speaker. Morakane Mosupyoe, visited several schools in Ga-Rankuwa to distribute dignitary packs, aimed at supporting learners’ basic needs. The initiative was part of an outreach programme focused on uplifting local communities and ensuring that students are well-equipped to continue their education with dignity.
The event was hosted at Tebogwana Engineering School of Specialisation in Automotive, where Mosupyoe addressed students, staff, and local representatives. Her speech highlighted the importance of supporting education and youth development while reinforcing the GPL’s commitment to improving learning conditions in Gauteng schools.
In addition to Tebogwana, the programme extended to other schools in the area, with dignitary packs being handed over to Mapenane Secondary School (Ward 30), Rantailane Secondary School (Ward 30), Setlalentoa Secondary School (Ward 31), and NM Tsuene Secondary School (Ward 32).
The distribution of these essential supplies was met with gratitude from both learners and school officials, who expressed appreciation for the GPL’s efforts to foster a supportive educational environment.
The visit demonstrated the GPL’s ongoing dedication to community upliftment and the empowerment of learners through practical interventions.
