Steve Biko Academic Hospital Enhances Services with New Tech
The Gauteng MEC for Health and Wellness, Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko, will unveil procured health equipment and technology at Steve Biko Academic Hospital.
The Steve Biko Academic Hospital is a tertiary healthcare institution that provides specialised and highly advanced medical services to referred patients. As a referral hospital, it receives patients through recommendations from local clinics.
Gauteng Department of Health said the advanced equipment will help improve efficiency and dependability in delivering healthcare services including better patient experience of care.
“The procured equipment includes Catheterisation laboratory (Cath Lab). Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), PET-CT (Positron Emission Tomography-Computed Tomography), Mobile x-ray units and many others,” stated Gauteng Department of Health.
